POSITION: Vice President, Finance SUPERVISOR: CFO
Basic Function: This position will be responsible for the oversight of financial operations for THA and related subsidiaries and affiliates, including but not limited to accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, accounts receivable, meeting registrar, inter-company transactions, general ledger, monthly and year-end financial statement preparation and reporting, annual consolidation and any special management reports. This position is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, ten -fifteen years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting preferred. Thorough understanding of both not-for-profit and for-profit Accounting Principles.
CPA certification or MBA preferred.
Must possess demonstrated proficiency and application knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft . Office Professional Suite software. Thorough knowledge of Great Plains Accounting Systems. Supervisory experience with a self-directed team preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain a professional, mature demeanor and be proficient at working with diverse personalities across all levels of the organization. Must demonstrate expert presentation skills, planning, analytical, communication, organization and people skills. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and manage multiple projects with little supervision. This position requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills, an innovative and industrious approach to work. Minimal travel – up to 10% of the time. Must have valid Texas Drivers’ License and proof of insurance.
