Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin August 2024. TLU is a teaching focused institution that offers select graduate degrees including the Master of Accountancy. We seek candidates who meet the following requirements:
Doctorate in accounting or a related field or master’s degree in business or accounting with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in accounting plus active CPA license and accounting experience
Professional certification in accounting (CPA preferred)
Ability to teach a variety of accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Commitment to university/community service and continued professional development

TLU’s business program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Most of the accounting students intern with public accounting firms and begin full-time employment at these firms upon graduation. For the past several years, 100% of our graduates have secured employment prior to graduation. In addition to the Master of Accountancy, the TLU Department of Business offers the BBA degree, an online MBA degree, an online MS in Business Analytics, and a minor in business.
